What are the types of sensors that can be used to detect the presence fishes or objects at underwater?

  • Sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging):
    • It is a Technique that can be used to communicate, Detect Objects or to navigate under the Surface of water.
    • It is of Basically two Types:
    • Active Sonar & Passive sonar. Sonars Basically works from Infrasonic to above a Megahertz frequency Range.
    • 405 nanometer Blue Laser:
      • You can use it too. But you need to use Epoxy Potting Compound to Waterproof the Module.
      • For extended Coverage you can split the laser beam using a parallel prism and than can use Photodarlington as a sensing element. Mount the sensing element Close to the laser.
      • You can put a Violet-blue gel filter too to improve the Selectivity.
      • Laser+Sensor Combination approaches any reflective or dispersive Surface, The intensity of blue light incident on the phototransistor Increases.
