Hello all,
This Post is all about what to do in the entire 4 years of engineering so that it became worthful for you.
I have seen that most of the students are not aware with the available opportunities & so they missed it. I will explain here progressively that how a student from tier 3 college can do a lot better in his/her academics. So lets start to dive in:
1st year:
  • In the 1st year of engineering you only need to be focus on your studies. No need to do something extraa. Just Try to achieve 9+ pointer and even more. Academics are very Important don’t ruined it.
  • Except it you can participate in some technical & Cultural fest of your college. It will help you to explore your Interest.
  • Learn C, C++ language. It will help to make some small projects.
  • Make Dirty your hands with microcontrollers, Arduino and other electronics components. Make some small projects like line following robot, wall climbing robot etc.
  • If your college schedule is too hectic than you can learn these things in your 1st semester break that means in winter vacations.
  • In summer vacations learn something new. Do some courses. Make your own blog. Create some apps. Do some social work and teach students who can’t afford education.
  • Remember one thing that these all will be count in your Resume.

3rd Year:
  • It is Most Important year of your graduation. This year you need to do lot of activities.
  • At the starting of the semester you need to apply for the Internships. So that you can avail any good internships.
Actually Internships can be of different types like Research based Internships/ Industrial Internship/ Remote Internships and many More.
  • Fourth Year:
    • This is the last year of your B.Tech. So you need to be very careful. You must have decide whether you want to join any corporate sector or want to go in start-ups sector or further education is your choice. According to your Interest prepare for your best. And if you have done the above mentioned things till your 3rd year than its certain that you will surely reach on your destination.

My Quora answer on I am a final-year electronics engineering student. I am interested in a core company. I want to work for Texas Instruments or ISRO. How would I get there?

As you have not mentioned here about your college, so i am considering that you are not from any Premium Engineering Institute like IITs. Because if you are from IIT than Perhaps it is not a big deal for you to do the job in Texas Instrument. So here i am assuming that you are from a moderate engineering college and you have a decent academics along with some attracting  extraa curriculum activities . Here what i mean from extraa curriculum activities is that you must have won some hackathon in IITs, You should be good in coding too & have some research papers on your name. If you hold a patent Record than its also good. Now if you want to job in Texas Instrument right after your B.Tech and considering that you are not from Top college, Chances are very less.
