Why Should only High Salary? Is it enough for you?
Dear rather than thinking about High salary you must think about that job which can give you pleasure & Satisfaction both. If in that job you earn some low livelihood than it does’t matter because you will be leaving a happy life. You will feel enjoyment while doing your work. So go for that job which gives you pleasure instead of high salary job.
Now coming to your question. Actually there are not so many Companies of electronics in India. So it becomes a difficult for an ECE graduate to find a decent job. And to fetch a job in the Big organisation as a fresher is not a Cake walk. So here i am listing some points which can be useful for the students to get a decent pack in good Organizations:
  • CGPA: Your CGPA is the first think which any organization will surely look. And than after you will be pass to the next forward rounds. As a fresher you must have a very well maintained CGPA in order to fetch a Job in any Big Organizations.
  • Skills: Obviously this is one of the Important Parameter for Student’s Selection. You must have some Industry Required Skills. Companies Prefer Those candidates mostly which are aware about the Industrial Skills and all. As an ECE Student you must have to be good in Matlab, VHDL, Labview, Pspice, PCB Design. Java, Python, Linux, C, C++, HTML, Big Data, IOT etc. Remember the more quality you have the higher chances of your section will be.
  • Projects: Yes, Your project Fortfolios will surely help in hunting the job. The more number of Projects your Resume will show, Higher the chances of your selection will be. Try to do different projects on different topics. Like make a project on Matlab, Pspice, Labview, Java, HTML, PCB etc.
  • Work Experience: If you have Some work Experience on your Resume than it will surely helps you. But for a fresher student it’s not possible. So freshers should try to work in any organizations. Try to gain work Experience. Work For Money . Work For Free. Ultimately all these are going to Benefit you.
  • Extraa- Curricular Activities: Extraa Curricular Activities will also helps you. But remember one thing that this should not be earn on the cost of academics. These will only benefit you when you will have a decent academics otherwise it’s not going to help you.
  • References: References will always helps you in shortlisting for the Job. A good Recommendation letter from any well known personality can play a vital role in jobs. And as a student you can make some good relations with your Professors, Guiders & Also where you do you Internships their too.
  • Subject Knowledge: Last But not least. Don’t forget in order to have a decent job in Pocket you must have to crack a job Interviews. And here comes the role of your Subject Knowledge. Whatever you have learned in these four years will help you here. So take your subjects Seriously. You never know Recruiters can ask any question related to any subjects.
  • Your Digital World: Yes you read it right. Actually we are in 21st Century and now a days our all data is present over the Internet. So try to make your digital Profiles decent. Make your Linkedin Profile Strong. If other than this you are also on Github, Quora, Stack Overflow than your strength of profile on these media’s can help you a lot.
So these are some of the Points which an ECE students must follow in order to fetch a job in Big organizations.

What are the best career options after a BTech in ECE?

There are Plenty of Career Options in ECE after B.Tech. Electronics Graduates can go for any one sector. There are many sectors which provides them opportunity to enhance their skills. Here I have listed some of the career Options which can be choose by an ECE Graduate. Job Option:  This option is mostly Preferred by graduates. Their are lot of job options available for ECE Students. I have divided here job options into different sectors so that ECE Students can analyse that how many sectors they have to work. Networking Sector:  Electronics Engineers can go in Networking sectors Job. Some big companies like Cisco and other provides this Opportunity. They can get some handsome amount of wages too. As you have not mentioned here about your college, so i am considering that you are not from any Premium Engineering Institute like IITs. Because if you are from IIT than Perhaps it is not a big deal for you to do the job in Texas Instrument. So here i am assuming that you are from a moderate engineering college and you have a decent academics along with some attracting  extraa curriculum activities . Here what i mean from extraa curriculum activities is that you must have won some hackathon in IITs, You should be good in coding too & have some research papers on your name. If you hold a patent Record than its also good. Now if you want to job in Texas Instrument right after your B.Tech and considering that you are not from Top college, Chances are very less.
