No need of doing it. Don’t waste your entire four years of B.Tech only in Preparation of GATE Exam. Actually their are two reasons behind it:
- In 1st year you will not study any core subject. You will study only common subjects which will not be asked in GATE. Although the knowledge of these Subjects may be required some where in Future. Like you will find the use of Basic Electrical Engineering course in your Electronics Subjects. So read them seriously but don’t devote your entire time into them. Instead do something else. Now you can do the following things:
- In your 1st year explore yourself. Find your interests. Learn new things. Make some Robots. Do some coding. Participate in different technical & Cultural Activities. In vacations make your own Blog, learn web development. Try to create website and do other stuffs.
- From 2nd year On wards you will study your Core subjects. Now you can prepare for GATE. It will help you in two ways.
- Preparing for GATE will help you to perform good in that subjects and you will score high marks in end semester exams. And 2nd thing is that in this way you will complete your entire syllabus in your 3rd year itself. No subject of 4th year will be asked in your GATE Exam. So you will not be panic in your last year.
- You can easily devote your time to Project work and revision of GATE Syllabus in your final year, If you have completed your subjects in the 3rd year Itself.
- Believe me in this way you can easily fetch the under 100 Rank.
Hope this will help.
Thanks!!
