There are so many fields in which an ECE Student can work. So you can understand that the number of Ideas will proportionally Increase. Being an ECE Student I have worked on some ideas. I will share them too here. First of all it should be clear to you that ECE not only belongs from electronics & Communication sector. Instead it can be Summarized as a  combo of Computer Science & Electronics both . So now you have a well diverse field to choose your Ideas.  Lets Explore Some - Internet Of things (IOT)- Its new in the Market so scope wise you have a great scope for your Product. You need to learn Python, Linux, IBM Bluemix in order to work in this field. Actually you can do a lot of stuffs with it. But to make your Product more attractive and useful you need to pick the combos like app+ IOT or any different combo you wish to pick. This will enhance the quality of your Product. No need of doing it . Don’t waste your entire four years of B.Tech only in Preparation of GATE Exam. Actually their are two reasons behind it: In 1st year you will not study any core subject. You will study only common subjects which will not be asked in GATE. Although the knowledge of these Subjects may be required some where in Future. Like you will find the use of Basic Electrical Engineering course in your Electronics Subjects. So read them seriously but don’t devote your entire time into them.  Instead do something else . Now  you can do the following things: In your 1st year  explore yourself . Find your interests. Learn new things. Make some Robots. Do some coding. There are Plenty of Career Options in ECE after B.Tech. Electronics Graduates can go for any one sector. There are many sectors which provides them opportunity to enhance their skills. Here I have listed some of the career Options which can be choose by an ECE Graduate. Job Option:  This option is mostly Preferred by graduates. Their are lot of job options available for ECE Students. I have divided here job options into different sectors so that ECE Students can analyse that how many sectors they have to work. So it becomes a difficult for an ECE graduate to find a decent job. And to fetch a job in the Big organisation as a fresher is not a Cake walk. Sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging): It is a Technique that can be used to communicate, Detect Objects or to navigate under the Surface of water. It is of Basically two Types: Active Sonar & Passive sonar . Sonars Basically works from Infrasonic to above a Megahertz frequency Range. 405 nanometer Blue Laser: You can use it too. “Difference & similarities both are up to the individual that at what extent he want to learn.” I will start here with similarities. See either it’s ECE or CSE both are Considered as one of the best Branches and elected by mostly Top Rankers. Now lets dive and find that what is similar in these two branches- Programming:  It is something that is Common between both the branches. While one might argue that CSE is totally related with programming while ECE is not. So as i said earlier that it is upto the student that how much he want to learn. If i talk here only in reference of syllabus than ECE student only have to studies C, C++ as a computer programming. But i have seen some students who learn Python, HTML, CSS, Java Script, Big data, Java etc. despite belong to the ECE Branch. I can give my example as well that i am an ECE student but i learn HTML, CSS, MySql by itself and created my website. So its totally depend on Individual that how much he is hungry for learning.

As you have not mentioned here about your college, so i am considering that you are not from any Premium Engineering Institute like IITs. Because if you are from IIT than Perhaps it is not a big deal for you to do the job in Texas Instrument. So here i am assuming that you are from a moderate engineering college and you have a decent academics along with some attracting  extraa curriculum activities . Here what i mean from extraa curriculum activities is that you must have won some hackathon in IITs, You should be good in coding too & have some research papers on your name. If you hold a patent Record than its also good. Now if you want to job in Texas Instrument right after your B.Tech and considering that you are not from Top college, Chances are very less. So, first of all its up to you That in which field you want to make your career. I will suggest you if you have ardent interest in any of the field then choose that field. Hello all, This Post is all about what to do in the entire 4 years of engineering so that it became worthful for you. I have seen that most of the students are not aware with the available opportunities & so they missed it.
